Wall Flower Hook

$16.00

Our newest roommate needed his own towel hook. Bradley took the opportunity to try out one of the floral terminations he has found commonly on medieval cathedral hinges, most notably on the Notre Dame! To reproduce each flower exactly, an open die is created by forging the cold original flower into a hot piece of steel. The newly formed mold is then cooled and hardened and ready to receive new hot steel.

The hook is forged from mild steel and finished with beeswax and linseed oil.

A black oil-finished screw is included in your order. We recommend using screws for installation onto drywall to prevent damaging the surface of the wall upon removal. However, if you are looking for a more traditional look, and don’t plan on moving the hook anytime soon, you can add a hand-forged nail to your order. Please reach out with any installation questions!

The hook measures 5 inches in length and extends 2 inches from the wall. Keep in mind, this is a handmade item and there will be variations among each finished piece.
